After a slow start, which found the TA Girls down 7-2 in the first few minutes, they clamped down defensively and delivered an outstanding performance at the Portland Expo. Thornton Academy closed out the quarter on a 14-0 run and went on to take a 43-14 lead heading into the 4th quarter. Playing with out one their starters, Victoria Lux, the girls showed how deep this team is as everyone contributed to the victory. Katie McCrum led a very balanced scoring attack (13 points), followed by outstanding efforts by Bella Robinson (8 points), Ashley Howe (7 points), Abby Strickland (7 points, 4 blocks), and Alex Hart (8 assists, 7 steals, 4 rebounds).
