The TA Girls Basketball team came out of the locker room looking to make a defensive statement against Biddeford, and the result was a dominant performance as the Trojans stifled Biddeford in their 59-21 victory. Through three quarters, the Trojans held a 45-9 advantage, showing why they are one of the best defensive teams in the SMAA. They displayed relentless energy throughout the game and forced Biddeford into many rushed shots and turnovers. This was the first meeting of these two rivals, with the second game coming up on Feb. 6, in the regular season finale.
Thornton Academy now sets its sights on the Gorham Rams (9-2), in what should be a very competitive game. Both teams currently sit in the top 5 teams in our league, so we need plenty of support to help us!
