Hoops For Hope Game is February 8 - Senior Night!

Just a reminder that our annual Hoops For Hope game was moved, due to weather, to Thursday, February 8.  There is a full slate of games that day, concluding with the Girls and Boys Varsity games vs. Gorham and our final regular season home game for all of our seniors.

3:30
 TAMS 7/8 grade girls vs. Saco Middle School 7/8 grade girls

4:30
JV Girls vs. Gorham

6:00
Varsity Girls vs. Gorham

7:30
Varsity Boys vs. Gorham

Here is some additional information:

This year's Hoops for Hope event will now take place on Thursday, February 8th.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to reschedule the City of Saco Challenge games on the same day as our pink game/Hoops for Hope event - however, we would still like the SMS 7th & 8th graders and TAMS 7th & 8th graders to have a chance to play against each other on the day of the event.  This will be a scrimmage format with both 7th and 8th graders participating for both teams - we will finalize details in the coming weeks.  The middle school game will tip early (at 3:30) since we have a full slate of games scheduled: the junior varsity girls will start at 4:30, varsity girls at 6:00 and the boys varsity at 7:30.

Prior to our varsity girls game at 6:00 we will call down to the court all of the members of the girls basketball program (grades 5-12) to recognize the fundraising efforts of the players and coaches that have done so much for the Hoops for Hope campaign.

At halftime of the varsity girls game, the 5th & 6th graders will play.  The objective is to have all the girls in the program be part of the Hoops for Hope event and have a chance to play in a great atmosphere - which I'm confident it will be, as it is senior night for both the girls and boys programs.

Also, remember there will be a ton of great auction and raffle items to bid on from the start of the middle school game until the start of the boy's game (approximately 3:30-7:30) All auction/raffle winners will be announced at halftime of the boy's game.  Here are just some of the great items up for bid:

* Ed Sheeran tickets (Gillette Stadium)
* Patriots tickets
* Samsung Galaxy 32GB tablet
* Red Claws floor seats
* Bose SoundLink bluetooth speaker
* Various gift certificates & passes
* Jewelry
* Farmhouse sign
* 20 person Sea Dogs skybox
* Various gift baskets
* Sea Bag
* Tickets to various concerts in Maine including Guster, Foreigner & George Thorogood,

Hoops for Hope long sleeved shirts($15) and hoodies($25) are still available for purchase - feel free to email me to order.

Lastly, any player wishing to add to their current fundraising total is welcome and encouraged to do so until Tuesday, February 6th.  Remember, any player raising at least $100 by that date will be entered to win 4 Celtics' tickets.  Any player raising at least $250 will earn a $50 Visa gift card and prizes will be given out to the top fundraisers.  I have attached the sponsor sheet.

Thank you all so much for making this such a wonderful and important annual community event.
